A ruling has been overturned by the New Jersey Court of Appeals allowing a retrial for a case where a woman suffered serious gastrointestinal problems as a result of taking Accutane.

Accutane was once considered a miracle drug because of its ability to treat and prevent acne. However, the drug has been linked to serious side-effects, including, but not limited to Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), Crohn’s Disease, and Ulcerative Colitis.

A Roche Holding AG (formerly Hoffman-La Roche) executive stated that the company knew of Accutane’s serious side-effects as early as 1978. In light of this admission, claimants that may not have been able to bring suit, may have the ability to do so now.

If you or someone you know has taken Accutane and suffered from serious-side effects, please contact Sheller, P.C. at 1-800-883-2299.
