Presenting orthopaedic surgeons at a conference for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons presented data that suggested that the failure rate of the Zimmer NexGen knee replacement was "unacceptably high." Many knee replacement recipients experienced loosening of the knee replacement which would require a revision surgery. The flaws of the Zimmer NexGen knee replacement are associated with its design. The Zimmer NexGen replacement knee has a "high-flex" porous femoral component that attaches to the bottom of the recipient’s thigh bone. As a result of not using cement to connect the knee replacement to the thigh bone, recipients often experience pain, loosening, or revision surgeries only a few years after the replacement is implanted.

Sheller, P.C. is currently reviewing Zimmer NexGen knee replacement claims. If you are someone you love has suffered pain or had a revision surgery, please contact Sheller, P.C. at 1-800-883-2299
